Gerardo Zuniga awarded Lowry High Staff Member of the Month for November

By Jessell Owens Posted November 2004

Each month Lowry students nominate staff members that have made an impression on them and that have helped them willingly. This month Lowry’s head custodian Gerardo Zuniga was selected as Lowry Staff Member of the month.

Gerardo has been helping Lowry High for sixteen years. He has helped many students through his years and is always willing to help a student or a teacher. Gerardo never ignores a student or a teacher’s problem. Gerardo says that his superlative is ‘most likely to go crazy.’ His favorite quote is “Don’t put off for tomorrow what you can do today, for tomorrow may never come.

Although Gerardo works very hard he never complains and is always in a good mood. His hero is his father. In his sixteen years at Lowry, Gerardo can recall his most memorable experience at Lowry High. He was helping another custodian who had slipped on the wet floor and he also fell, neither of them could stop laughing.

Gerardo is an asset to Lowry and we hope that he will be with us for many years to come.
