High hopes for Lowry Boys’ golf team this year. The golf team’s season began on a high note with them winning the “ice breaker” by 61 strokes.
After taking second in the state last year the boys’ golf team they hope to take state with a full returning team.
“The goal this year is to win state, individually and as a team,” said Joey Dendary.
With the golf team practicing hard for tournaments, “Once or twice a week we do general work then the other three days we work on qualifying for the tournaments,” Dendary said.
Hopes for the new coaching staff of head coach Chad Peters to lead them to their goal of a state championship is high this year.
