Ms. Kristin Flanders chose João Pedro Lyra Lisboa as the Student of the Week in Social Studies. Flanders chose Lisboa for his positive attitude and perseverance in improving his grades.
“He is a very hard-working student. He’s always wanting to better himself and his grade,” said Flanders.
Flanders also recognizes Lisboa’s participation in class and positive attitude.
“He always participates in class discussions, and he has a positive energy that makes me and the students feel better in class,” said Flanders.
Lisboa was happy he got chosen as the student of the week, as he had always wanted to be chosen.
“It’s pretty exciting, I got chosen. I always saw the Instagram posts for the stories and wanted to be in one,” said
Outside of school, Lisboa plays volleyball, and he shares his positive attitude. Lisboa also enjoys Ms. Flanders’ class because it is small and fun.
“The class is pretty small, so we get to have a lot of good conversations, and I enjoy the class because she teaches it well and makes it fun,” said Lisboa.
