JV baseball excited to come back and start regular season

After Covid hit hard last season there weren’t many players, as this season begins the team is ready to have a regular season.

The JV team should have a full roster and will work on the fundamentals to get the players ready.

“I am looking forward to working with this young group of ballplayers and getting them ready to be competitive at the next level,” said coach Brent Riemersma.

There are many freshmen that are new additions to the team. The most common thing they are all looking forward to is being able to play with their teammates.

“I’m looking forward to playing with my teammates and having fun playing baseball,” said freshman Aidan Tregellas.

Edgar Duarte agrees with Tregellas.

“I’m most excited to be traveling with my team and getting a double play,” said Duarte.

There is confidence that this season will be a successful one.

“I think we’re pretty good and JV has a lot of freshmen so a lot of us will have a lot of time to get better,” said Tregellas.

This year the JV team will have a regular-season since last year the sports programs were cut short or had malfunctions due to COVID. Many of the players are glad to get back into regular sports seasons.
