Lowry soccer traveled to Spring Creek and finished with one loss and two ties.

Coach Ron Espinola was pleased with his team’s performance as a whole.

“Considering we are a young team, we worked very well together in all three games,” said Espinola.

Bucks grabbed two ties with Spring Creek, 4-4, and White Pine, 2-2, but lost against Battle Mountain, 6-2.

The boys came back as they scored three more in the second half against the Spartans.

“The best game we played was probably against Spring Creek,” said Espinola. “We came back after getting beaten by Battle Mt. and played a very physical Spartan team. As it was a third game in two days, the boys responded well and put in a great effort.”

Sophomore midfielder Tristan Blaesing felt his team learned a lot from the experience.

“Overall, I’m pretty proud of what my team and I did,” said Blaesing. “We could have done better against Battle Mountain, but it was also a heads-up on what we should improve on.”

The JV Bucks will be back in action on September 7 when they travel to South Tahoe.
