JV looks to continue improvement

Well into the season, the JV softball team has a record of nine wins and six losses. The team has improved on many aspects of their playing, including fielding and batting.

“We have improved a lot… but there is always room to improve,” said freshman Caitlynn Cooper.

Approaching the end of the season, the Lady Bucks have yet to face off against Elko. Despite this fact, the girls are still confident that they will be victorious.

“I’m confident. We ten-runned a team that ten-runned was Elko, so I hope it’s a good game,” stated Cooper.

Returning JV player, Megan Lombardi, is also optimistic about the game against Elko.

“I feel like it will be a good game. If we start off-up, we will be able to stay up, by scoring early and often,” said Lombardi.

The JV softball team will play against Elko in Elko on April 19 at 4 p.m. and on April 20 a doubleheader beginning at 11 a.m.
