JV softball wraps up season

The JV softball team recently finished their successful season with an overall record of 16-1-1. The girls did exceptionally well and got possibly one of the best records achieved by a JV softball team at Lowry.

This year’s team consisted of a group of girls that already had played softball with each other previously during the summer and throughout their little league years, so the team already had some chemistry coming into this season.

The girls had success against many of their opponents and even against Carlin’s varsity softball team.

“It felt really good to beat Carlin’s varsity,” said freshman Ere Higbee, explaining that it was a big confidence booster as a JV team beating a varsity squad.

The future of Lowry softball looks strong with a good team moving up to varsity soon, and the girls are anxious to be able to move up and get things done at the varsity level to hopefully make it to the playoffs next year. For now, the girls will enjoy their downtime, play other sports for Lowry, and get ready for next year to make the staff and students at Lowry proud.
