Over Lowry’s homecoming week, the varsity girl’s soccer team was very busy as they played three different teams. Lowry played Elko on Wednesday, Truckee on Friday, and Sparks on Saturday.
The Lady Bucks Lowry had a battle on their hands as they played Elko, and the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
“We played well our communication and passing was really good,” said Mckenna Jones.
“We played in new positions and we played really well together,” said senior Maddie Mayo.
On Friday Lowry was back in action against Truckee. Although Lowry couldn’t come away with the win, they still did some good things.
“Our passes got better and we took more shots than we usually do,” stated Lowry’s Shelby Garrison.
The final score was 3-0. The next day would lead to another loss against Sparks.
“Sparks was a tough game for us,” said Mayo.
“It wasn’t our best game and despite being tired we didn’t give up,” said captain Caitlynn Cooper.
“I thought that our communication and ability to work with one another improved,” said Cooper.
The team is looking to turn things around in their next match. The Bucks travel to Fernley on Wednesday.
