The girl’s golf team has proven to be a force to be reckoned with as they command the league standings at the midway point of their season. This year’s team features five experienced and solid golfers as well as a talented newcomer, it truly is the roster of dreams.

With their golf tournament at Wildcreek Golf Course being canceled during homecoming week, the team got a small hiatus before their tournament this week in Winnemucca. The Bucks have been dominant all season long and show no signs of slowing down as they prepare to host their tournament.

Junior Savanna Cox has nothing but praise for the team this year and believes in the team’s ability to go far.

“I am so proud of my team this year, we have been doing an amazing job. This season has been a lot of fun,” said Cox.

Junior Brooklyn Backus had similar thoughts to Cox and believes that the team could even become that much better.

“This season has been really good so far. We are playing well as a team. We’re in first place so I don’t think our team needs to improve much but as individuals, it would be nice to cut off strokes,” said Backus.

The team continues the season this week as they host their golf tournament at the Winnemucca Municipal Golf Course.
