Lady Bucks pick up two wins

The Lady Bucks showed Fallon what they were made of and set the tone for this year’s season.
In the season opener against Fallon, the Bucks beat them 61-35.

“Our defense was clicking and that gave us multiple opportunities on offense,” said sophomore and returning player Kyllie Sappington.

The girls continued to play at Lovelock on Thursday, and they continued to take it to the hoop beating them 43-25.

With an all-new season, the girls hope to be unstoppable this year many of the upcoming players were undefeated on the 2014-15 freshman team and coach Amy Jenkins who hasn’t lost a game in almost two complete seasons.

With three new freshmen and nine experienced sophomores, the team looks promising.

“We have a good connection, most of us have been playing together for quite some time now. The three freshmen are doing great and adjusting to the way we play. Things are going smooth right now, and we hope to continue that throughout the season,” said Sappington.

The roster: Samantha Diaz, Rebecca Kuskie, Tailor West, Hailey Hinkle, Kyllie Sappington, Sydney Connors, Emily Cook, Kepa Bengochea, Shelby Garrison, Alily Kliewer, Madison McClellan, and Bailey Sapien.
