Lowry is scheduled to hold its open house on Thursday, November 19 starting at 5:30 p.m. In addition to an open house, the night will also be parents’ night and college and career night.
“We will be set up in the Main Gymnasium by departments in a ‘Booth’ type setting where teachers will be able to display the cool things they are all doing in their classes,” said Principal Ray Parks in an email.
Parks also said Leadership students will give a quick presentation about Lowry and the great things being done. Mrs. Roxanne Hardy will then give a presentation regarding what the Career Center has to offer.
Parks continued to explain, “I plan to then have a representative from HGH describe their EMT and Sports Medicine partnership with Lowry High School and a rep from Great Basin College describe their partnership with Lowry High School.”
Representatives from Newmont and Barrick, Great Basin College and the MTC Scholarship Program, and the Boys & Girls Club of Winnemucca will also give presentations.
