Lowry hosts the academics

At the end of every school year, Lowry hosts an academic assembly to award and congratulate students who have excelled in school and certain subjects. As well as having perfect attendance and inspirational students.

This year the theme for the academic assembly was swagademics in honor of Joshua Rose who came up with the theme last year.

The academic assembly was about two hours long and gave out 842 awards and 536 students received them.

To break up the awards and keep the crowd entertained there were small intermissions with various performances. The choir performed the song Royals by Lorde. The encore dance academy performed two dances one of which was a piece done by three graduating seniors, Chelsea Baker, Chaslynne Mcallister, and Jayci Hill. Finishing off the assembly the Lowry percussion dazzled the crowd with an amazing performance done with only drumsticks and trash cans.
