The JV football team ended the season with a 4-5 record. The team worked hard throughout the session.
“The season was great, we had great wins and losses,” said Jayden Howard. “It was fun, but throughout the week the team had some downs and some ups with the spirit.”
They beat Elko 12-6, one of the teams that JV football had a hard time beating for years. They kept their spirit up and pushed until the game was over leaving nothing left to give on the field.
“I think we played great in the Elko game,” said Keston Unrein. “We were all determined to win in front of the home crowd against our rivals during homecoming.”
The JV team included freshmen, sophomores, and juniors working to create the 2024-2025 team.
“I enjoyed playing with the freshmen and juniors,” said Allesandro Huerta. “A lot of them showed good progress coming into the end of the year.”
Zach Peterson, John Guevarra, and head coach Andrew Jensen were the coaches for JV football. They helped bring the group together and drive them to what.
“The JV football team had a tough season,” said Coach Jensen. “They worked through adversity and overcame many challenges this year. They will continue to be successful as a group and individuals learning from the lessons of this football season. I hope they continue to have high expectations of themselves and compete for every victory life offers.”
