Winterfest is a week full of fun for all students. Winterfest is full of lunchtime activities, dress-up days, and an assembly Friday to bring the week to a close, and crown the king and queen.

This year’s king candidates were Victor Rosas, Dylan Kalkoske, and Ryan Johnson. The queen candidates were Claudia Magnana, Hannah Roberts, and Kepa Bengochea. In the end, Victor Rosas and Hannah Roberts were crowned.

The assembly was full of excitement as Ms.Topholm began to show the Powerpoint explaining the dress-up day and introducing the awesome court candidates.

The dance team had a strong performance with the young men who volunteered to help and put the time into helping and making the performance great. The cheerleaders’ routine had left the students satisfied with amazing twists and flips. All while being careful and safe throughout the performance.

Then for a lot of entertainment, Maddie Riley and Mardie Johnson choreographed a dance for the female teachers of Lowry to dress up in pink and put on blown-up pictures of the male teachers’ faces. This was an exciting development to the already eventful assembly.

The assembly was great, the teachers and students had a blast. It was perfect for getting the school pumped and ready for the basketball games.
