Lowry to hold elections

Have you ever wanted to be more involved in your class? Do you have ideas that you want to be seen put into motion? Have you ever considered running for a class office position? If you answered any of these questions with a “Yes” then running for a student office position would be a wise choice.

Lowry High is beginning its annual elections. The requirements for a student to be able to run are:

Having a 2.5 cumulative GPA for the current year.

Maintaining a cumulative 2.5 GPA for the year in office.

You must be enrolled in Leadership the year you are in office.

You must be a full-time student at LHS.

You must agree to follow the LHSLC Code of Conduct.

Campaigning will begin on February 6. On Tuesday, February 14 the candidates will be presenting their speeches to their corresponding classes and voting will follow. The new officers will be informed of their victory on Wednesday, February 15. Candidates will be determined by the following criteria:

1- Written application.
2- Teacher evaluation.
3- Personal interview and presentation.
4- Percent of student vote.
