Andrew Jensen selected Michael Heikkila for Student-Athlete of the Week.
Heikkila says that he thinks his motivation for the season is to try and win games and to always try his best for his team.
“I think I did terrific,” said Heikkila. “I am a really hard worker.”
Heikikila plays linebacker and running back. What he loves most about this position is getting interceptions. Heikkila also states that he loves being a leader on his team and tries to help out as much as he can.
“I am a leader on the team,” said Heikklia.
Heikkila is a strong leader and competitive on the field.
“Heikkila is a consistent leader and has adapted well to new positions on the field,” said Jensen.
Heikkila’s favorite position to play is linebacker and his favorite game was the game at Sparks. He was proud of himself for scoring a touchdown and getting an interception.
His favorite part of being a linebacker is tackling the person; he likes the adrenaline.
