Four years ago National Honor Society advisors Michelle Pasquale and Rene Hill, decided to hold an awards ceremony at the end of the school year. This ceremony was “meant to recognize those members that had gone above and beyond during that year,” said Pasquale.
It was also another way to bring the members together without having the formal feeling of business lingering in the air.
The executive members are in charge of setting up the ceremony and also in charge of choosing the receivers of the awards. The awards include the service, scholar, leadership, character and independent service for the sophomore, junior, and senior levels. Mrs. Pasquale and Mrs. Hill are in charge of choosing the National Honor Society member of the year.
The overall National Honor Society member of the year was Tyler Duran. This year will be Mrs. Pasquale’s last year as an advisor for National Honor Society.
