Coach Cherese Fifield chose Cynthia Magaña as this week’s Performer of the Week.
Magaña is a leader on the team, serving as one of the captains.
“Cynthia Magaña, she is a senior this year, and she is my captain, one of my captains,” said Fifield. “And is always reliable, on time, a leader, sets by example.”
Cynthia has done cheer all four years of high school and said why she enjoys it.
“What I enjoy about cheer is all the people on the team and having a fun time at practice,” said Magaña. “I was inspired to do cheer by my sister and my mom; they influenced me to do it. What I’m going to miss about it is having fun with my friends at practice and just messing around.”
Magaña has learned a lot that will help her as a person.
“What I learned about cheer as a person is to work well with people you don’t like, and at the end of the day, everybody has your back, and everyone is there for you,” said Magaña.
