The performer of the week is Brycen Prokasky for art. Brycen put forth his first ceramics sculpture of the year. He worked hard to create a face on a clay sphere. Following a sketch he had finished beforehand. He even took the work home over the weekend.

“Brycen puts forth an unusual amount of effort into his work. He envisions his artworks mentally and can put in the time and effort to see them to completion, not just completing the work for the teacher, but really for himself,” said Anderson.

Brycen’s best work he has done was a sculpture he completed last year in Advanced Art. He constructed a large wire head of a walrus, it was 3D and he found the wire to work with down the Humboldt River.

“He could do a lot of different things in the future, His drive and creativity could take him anywhere. So I’m excited to stay in touch with him after he graduates, to know where he will be headed in life” said Anderson.
