The girls’ golf assistant coach, Laurie Pickett, chose Presley Hayes as her Student-Athlete of the Week.

“I pick Presley as the Student-Athlete of the Week because of her great attitude and how well she has been playing this year,” said Pickett.

Another reason Hayes was picked as Student-Athlete of the Week is her great spirit.

“She has been able to lift all of the girls’ spirits even when they are down,” said Pickett.

Coach Pickett thinks that Hayes is very good at keeping her head in the game and not letting mistakes bring her down.

“She has been able to fix her game and keep out of her head which has been helping her achieve her goals,” said Pickett.

The only thing coach Pickett thinks she needs to improve on is her putting skills.

The Student-Athlete of the Week, Presley Hayes, is having a great season so far and she’s very proud of her achievements.

“The season is going pretty well for me,” said Hayes. “I have been able to stay under 100 for two of our matches so far.”

Hayes believes that she has been doing well at her drives and fairway game, but there are some things that she thinks she could improve on.

“I could improve on keeping out of my head when I have a bad shot,” said Hayes.

Hayes is very honored that she was chosen as Student-Athlete of the Week and she thinks that returning to the team was one of the best choices that she’s made.
