Last Thursday, freshman boys football traveled to Elko. One player really caught the eye of head coach Austin Mayo. That player is Jakob Snyder. Snyder was told 10 minutes before the game that he would be replacing a player who had forgotten his helmet.
“He really stepped up and did some good things for not ever playing on the line, he made some good tackles and that’s all you can ask from a kid that doesn’t have experience in a new position,” added Mayo.
Lowry walked away with the loss, the final score was 27-14. Lowry is on the road again for the last time against Sparks, on Thursday at 4 p.m.
