Jasper Glasgow was chosen as the Student-Athlete of the Week for track by coach Grant Beatty.
Glasgow started off this season well. He out-threw his opponents this past weekend in Spring Creek.
“He took first in the shot and 5th in the Disc throwing events at the Spring Creek meet,” said Beatty.
He sets a good example for his fellow throwers.
“He works very hard on his technique and has been a great example for our younger throwers to follow,” said Beatty.
Glasgow took first for shot put with a distance of 42’2, which is his new personal record. He also took fifth place in discus with a distance of 112’2.
Glasgow is ready to keep improving and to see how far he has gone at the end of the season.
“This season is going really well, but I am excited to see what kind of improvement I make at the end of the season,” said Glasgow.
Glasgow will be throwing on Friday, March 29, at Reed High School.
