Lowry’s new Student Body Officers and Class Presidents traveled down to Las Vegas last Thursday and spent three days there. They attended the Student Council State Conference which was held at Centennial High School.

The students went to big assemblies where they met new State Officers and listened to several guest speakers.

A show and dinner at the Exalibur were on their program too. The Student Body Officers and Class Presidents also participated in certain workshops that helped them learn new leadership skills as well as how to get more involved and bring the school together. They listened to a variety of motivational speakers and voted for new State Officers.

During their breaks they got to talk to the guest speakers and new Officers and hear about their experience as leaders. The conference ended with a slideshow, which was followed by a dance.

According to Lowry’s new Student Body Officers and Class Presidents the Conference was helpful for them to understand the responsibilities of a leader and it certainly taught them that they can achieve high goals
