The Lowry swim team has been preparing for a new season with new coach Shelby Ruff.

“She has a lot of new ideas, we have been conditioning in and out of the pool. I am excited  to see what the season brings. Hopefully more of us can qualify for the state tournament this year,” said returning junior Liam Walls.

The team continues to practice every day and work on various strokes and practice drills that will shave seconds off of their times.

“There are a lot of things we still need to work on, but for the most part we are doing well and there are some adjustments that need to be made on our form,” said Chanse McCallister.

“It is a lot of fun and I am excited to have Mrs. Ruff as our coach,” added teammate Hallie Caratzola.

The team will travel to Incline on March 25 for their next meeting.
