Swimming update

A day before Spring Break began, varsity swimmers took off to Truckee in hope of winning the competition and all individuals looked to dominate the competition.

Lowry swimmers did exactly that as the boys won their competition and their girls did very well despite not winning their competition.

Lowry swimmers also gave their thoughts on how they thought they did.

“I think the teams did really well. I didn’t do as well as I hoped I would and it wasn’t one of my best meets. I got second in the 100-meter breaststroke and I believe I took third in the 200-meter,” said freshman Kelsea Perkinson.

Matthew Jock thought the team did well.

“I think the team did pretty well. I did amazing because you know, I’m Matthew Jock and I don’t lose. In my heat, I took first in both the 50-meter and 100-meter,” said very confident swimmer Jock.

Varsity swimmers travel to Reno on Saturday in a face-off against Bishop Manogue.
