It was a good weekend for the JV team as they picked up two wins to add to their successful season. The Lady Bucks beat Truckee 37-21, an impressive victory after previously losing to the same team over the winter break in Truckee.
Sophomore guard Carly Capellen says her team’s energy level was the biggest factor in their win.
“I just think we came out with a lot more energy than we had in our last game against them,” said Capellen. “We were aggressive and put a lot of pressure on them throughout the game
With only four games left in the season, the girls are looking to pick up some more wins.
“If we keep playing with that same energy level, I think we have a good chance of winning the rest of our games this season,” said Capellen.
The girls’ next game will be on February 2 at home against Fernley.
