The varsity football team played Churchill County at Fallon on October 21 and lost 35-8.

Jed Teichert had a few remarks on how the season went for the Buckaroos.

“Football season this year overall didn’t have the outcome we wanted, but I think we took a big step for the upcoming teams and for the future of the program,” said Teichert. “Also, as of our team’s performance this year, we never really reached our full potential. I think we could have been one of the better teams in our league, and I also think we were much better than a 1-8 team.”

Teichert also talked about team play in their final game.

“We lost with a score of 35-8,” said Teichert. “As the game was in progress, I thought of our running backs during the Churchill game, Victor Rosas and Jacob Frazier did a great job. I also thought Ren Mattson played very well and played very tough.”

Now that football season has come to a close, Lowry anxiously waits until next season.
