The varsity girls’ basketball team has gone 15-8 overall and 7-3 in league games.

Britain Backus (29.1 ppg) led the team in scoring, while Natalee Formby (6.1 ppg) was the second leading scorer of this season, and she feels this season went well.

“I feel the season went very well, and we all worked together and hard the whole season,” said Formby.

Junior Maura Braatz thinks next season will hold many opportunities for the Lady Bucks.

“I think we have a good chance of making it to regionals and potentially state next season,” said Braatz.

Throughout the 2024-25 season, Formby enjoyed the good times that came with many memories.

“My favorite part would have to be all the jokes and laughs at practices and games,” said Formby.

Coach Alyssa Jones thinks the season was overall good, and she enjoyed watching the athletes improve.

“Overall, I think the season went great,” said Jones. “We grew and improved so much from when we started in November.”

Jones can’t wait to see how next year’s season will go for the Lady Bucks.

“The season was amazing, and I’m so excited to see what we do next year,” said Jones.

Senior Khlloe Shorey agrees with Coach Jones; she thinks the season went well overall.

“I think the season went overall pretty great; there were many great memories created, and besides how the season ended, we won the majority of our games,” said Shorey.

Shorey is grateful for the years she played at Lowry, ending on a highlight.

“This year’s team was truly amazing in so many ways and gave me the best last year I could have asked for, and I couldn’t be more thankful for that,” said Shorey.
