On Wednesday, September 9, at Lowry High School the varsity girl’s soccer team went up against one of the team’s biggest rivals, Fernley. Although the Bucks suffered some injuries (specifically to Kenadee Jeppsen and Caitlynn Cooper), the team pushed through and ended up winning 5-0.

One of the team’s players, Audrey Snow, reflected on how she thought the team did.

“I think that we played really well. We had a lot of good passes instead of just boom-balling it,” said Audrey Snow. Fernley has always been a tough team for Lowry to play.

“Fernley is a tough team mentally. They always get inside of our heads, but I think we just maintained our composure and had a really good game,” Snow added.

Snow said the team has improved immensely and that they have become more of a threat, particularly on offense. Even though Lowry won the game, no team is perfect and Snow said that there are things that the team can improve on for the next game.

“I think we just need to possess and control the field, getting back on defense and finding our marks,” said Snow.

The next game is on Saturday, September 12 against Fallon in Fallon.
