Lowry Volleyball destroyed Dayton at their home game during homecoming week. The team has been growing with success throughout the season. Their phenomenal team spirit and positive attitude have made the season fun and easier to go against other teams.
“We want to keep improving on all our skills,” said Ashlee Barron.
So far Lowry has played all of the teams in their league except for Truckee. Their biggest opponent so far has been Elko, it was the first league loss for the Lady Bucks. Next time the team plans on staying consistent with their serves, sets, spikes and passes and keep their hits in the court to destroy Elko.
“Next time Elko comes to our home court we will be ready to destroy them,” said Barron.
Lowry did really well the first two sets playing against Dayton; they had a little difficulty in the third set. But they pulled themselves together and won the game in the fourth set. They also terminated Fernley on Saturday. Earlier in the season volleyball demolished South Tahoe, Churchill County, Spring Creek, and South Tahoe.
The three captains are Jillian Albright, Meg Montero, and Auri Criddle. These ladies are fantastic leaders and really nice to the team, they are amazing at uplifting the team, and they are always positive. This helps the team succeed throughout the season.
“They never lose hope in any of us,” said Barron.
