Congratulations to Jesse Zamudio, the new boys’ varsity basketball coach.
Zamudio was the head boys’ basketball coach at Spring Creek from 2018-2020 and the JV coach from 2013-2020. In addition, Zamudio coached at Galena High School and Truckee Meadows BGC for four years while serving as a skills coach at camps since 2008.
Zamudio was the Lady Bucks basketball coach for the 2021-2022 school year and they came home with the state championship. Zamudio plans to do what he did for the girls and is excited for the upcoming season.
“I’m just looking forward to working with the team,” said Zamudio “and just really focusing on the fundamentals and teaching good values.”
Zamudio has brought Lowry one state title, and he plans to try and do it again but this time with the boys while having fun.
“I just want to go into the season and have fun,” said Zamudio, “and it wouldn’t hurt to win another state championship.”
