What To Watch: ‘Lucifer’

By Taylor Gleason Posted January 18, 2019

“Lucifer” takes place in Los Angeles after a plot twist happens when a nightclub owner turned LAPD consultant.

Based on characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg, this series follows Lucifer, the original fallen angel, who has become dissatisfied with his life in hell. After abandoning his throne and retiring to Los Angeles, Lucifer indulges in his favorite things until a murder takes place outside of his upscale nightclub.

For the first time in billions of years, the murder awakens something unfamiliar in Lucifer’s soul that is eerily similar to compassion and sympathy. Lucifer is faced with another surprise when he meets an intriguing homicide detective named Chloe, who appears to possess inherent goodness. Unlike the worst of humanity, to which he is accustomed. Suddenly, Lucifer starts to wonder if there is hope for his soul. January 25, 2016, was when Lucifer was released. Just because I think it’s a great show to watch doesn’t mean that everyone will like it but I suggest you check it out.

At first, I didn’t think I would like it, but the more I watched it the more interesting the show got. The show has amazing acting and all the scenes were written perfectly.

Some of the actors in Lucifer are Tom Ellis, Lauren German, Tom Welling, Lauren German, D.B. Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Tricia Helfer, and Kevin Alejandro. The story of Lucifer, as told in the Bible, involves a powerful archangel who wanted ultimate power for himself, rebelled against God, and therefore fell from heaven. Lucifer is also a character in many versions of the classic German legend in which a man makes a pact with the devil to gain worldly pleasures, experience, and knowledge.

Some people may not like this show because it always leaves you on the edge and makes you wonder what’s coming in the next season or episode. If I had to give it a grade, I would give it either an A or a B+. And trust me, I don’t give that grade to many TV shows.

People who like fiction and a lot of action will enjoy “Lucifer”. If I had to suggest it to anyone it would be to the type of people that like fictional stories and to anyone who likes to watch a lot of action.

The director of Lucifer was Len Wiseman. If you wanted to try and watch every season and episode it would take you 9.5+ hours straight to watch every episode and season of “Lucifer”.
