On Sunday, January 24, the Arizona Cardinals and the Carolina Panthers face off in this year’s NFC Championship game to decide which team will advance to Super Bowl 50.
Quarterbacks Carson Palmer and Cam Newton are set to play against each other. Palmer and the Cardinals are coming off a win in overtime against the Packers while Newton and the Panthers beat the Seahawks 31-24.
This matchup is anticipated to be a close one with Arizona’s defense being ranked 5th and Carolina’s being 6th, but Carolina’s offense is the highest-scoring offense in the league while Arizona has the second highest-scoring offense.
Both Newton and Palmer are in the discussion for league MVP and this Sunday’s game between the two could be a deciding factor.
Along with those reasons, the fact that this game decides the NFC team that will play the winner of the Broncos vs. the Patriots is why it is the game to watch.
