By Jessie Schirrick Posted March 19, 2013

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are making a comeback.Your favorite reptilian crime fighters are back and they’re better than ever, complete with a brand new theme song. The new show premiered in September of last year on Nickelodeon. The show is expected to air for quite some time as it has been met by a positive response from the network’s viewers according to teenagemutantninjaturtles.com

The turtles are mentored by Hamato Yoshi after they are exposed to mutagen, a mutation substance that gives them human-like features and super strong bodies.

Leonardo wears a blue mask and is pretty much the ring leader of the gang because he is the most responsible and he is always looking out for them. You could say Leo clashes a lot with Rafael (red mask) who is the most rebellious of the team, challenging Leo and Hamato whenever he can.

Donatello is probably the most meager of the four but what he lacks in social skills he makes up for in knowledge, most of technology and computers. Michael Angelo provides the comic relief for the show, you can always find him either eating pizza or playing video games.

Season one includes 18 episodes and the cartoon has already been approved for three seasons so fortunately, there are many more episodes to come.
