What to Watch: ‘The Conjuring’ and ‘Annabelle’

By Nicholas Maddox Posted October 20, 2014

“Annabelle” is the prequel to “The Conjuring”. “The Conjuring” is rated R and is your basic horror film based on true events about a family being terrorized by a demon and getting help from a catholic priest and his clairvoyant wife to stop the evil demon. But, throughout the film it has cut scenes of the Catholic family who willingly keeps possessed artifacts from past exorcisms that they have performed in a room that is frequently blessed. The most dangerous artifact they collected was a possessed doll named Annabelle.

“Annabelle” is a movie about a vintage doll that terrorizes a couple after their home is intruded by a group of satanic cultists. Annabelle is still in theatres and is also rated R.

Both of these horror movies are perfect for watching during this scary month of October and Halloween. They will both keep you in constant suspense and covering your eyes to protect you from all the horror you will see.
