This year many incredible athletes wore the Blue and Gold for Lowry and some of them will continue their athletic endeavors sporting the colors of a new school. Here is an inside look at what Lowry’s athletes will be doing with their lives next year.
Jillian Albright will be attending Eastern Oregon University (EOU) in La Grande, Oregon to play basketball. From the time Albright was a child, she has always played her best in the sport of basketball. Albright will be studying elementary education in college.
“I just want to keep pushing myself to be the best that I can be and making sure I’m happy along the way. I don’t know the exact date that I move yet, but I start school on September 26 this fall,” said Albright.
Six of Humboldt County High School Rodeo Club’s members will be attending colleges to rodeo. Trase Bell will also attend Eastern Oregon University in La Grande, Oregon.
Shaun Mentaberry and Caleb Logan at College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls, Idaho, and Patrice Stewart, Maclyn Crnkovich, and Katelyn Rose will be rodeoing at Treasure Valley Community College in Ontario, Oregon.
Most of these kids plan on pursuing degrees in agriculture.
“I plan on getting a degree in agriculture business in the fall at CSI,” explained Logan.
Crnkovich will be attending college to become an agriculture educator.
Trevor Burroughs will be playing soccer for Southwestern Oregon Community College in Coos Bay, Oregon. He is very excited about his future.
“My expectations for the future are to attend college and play soccer. I will be attending Southwestern Oregon Community College and will be starting in the fall semester,” said Burroughs.
Omar Guerrero is heading to Oregon to play basketball at Clackamas Community College in the Portland area.
