Words of Wisdom

Success is not handed out to people. Hard work is the golden ticket to success. Everybody has a dream, and not everybody achieves it. The people that don’t fulfill their dreams are the ones that are not willing to work. Success is not going to be handed to you on a silver platter, it is earned through hard work and dedication.

“Seek progress, not perfection…,” from the book “Mind Gym”. Instead of focusing on perfection and the final result, focus on progress. Nobody is perfect, you can only do your best. Do everything you can to the best of your ability. Lowry baseball is not concerned about winning state, they are first concerned about making it to playoffs then to the semi’s and then the state championship. Focus on progression not the final result because the final result will only come with progression.

Everybody questions why certain people are so successful at something. They disregard it and assume that they were born with their talents. But it really comes down to who works the hardest. You can say that you went to the gym today, but, what did you do at the gym today? Did you push yourself to your limit and then some more? That is what makes people stand out from the rest. If you can’t even make your bed in the morning how do you think you are going to do on your big test today? Work as hard as you possibly can, even with the little things in life.

Time. We all have time. But it is up to you to use that limited amount of time that you have. Time can not be taken back. Successful people realize that they have a lot of time to accomplish a goal, and they must give it all they have and work as hard as they can to achieve that goal.

If you want to be successful and you have a dream but you have no interest in working hard to achieve that dream, there is no way you will be successful. If you fail, move on and learn from your mistakes. Think to yourself, if you get it right the first time, you won’t have to go back and do it again. Give it your absolute all and give everything you have to get it right the first time. Whatever comes your way and knocks you down, get back up and keep going.
