Coached by Grant Beatty, the Buckaroo JV boys traveled to Churchill County to play against Fallon. The JV boys won their game 53-46. Beatty had this to say about how the team started strong and did well in the second half of the game.
“We did very well and based on the scoring in the early half of the game, the boys really performed well and managed to finish off the last half with a good game,” said Beatty.
Scotty Smith gave his opinion on how the team did in the first and second half of the game.
“The first half of the game we dominated and really took them down, whereas in the second half we managed to finish strong,” said Smith.
Another player, Jordan Parker, expressed his excitement after winning the game and the team’s hard work to get this far.
“I was really happy with not only my performance, but with my team’s hard work that we’ve practiced very hard to perfect and execute well,” said Parker.
The JV boys’ basketball team will saddle up and head to Spring Creek to play the Spartans on January 31.
