With Billingsley as his last name people think Jace has big shoes to fill. However, he thinks it doesn’t change a thing.

“I just do my best and what happens happens,” he said.

Jace Billingsley is a sophomore at Lowry. He was born in Winnemucca and has lived here his whole life. He is currently playing varsity football and with his uncle being his coach.

He said, “He [Coach Billingsley] definitely doesn’t go easy on me since I’m his nephew.”

He plans on joining wrestling in the winter and baseball in the spring. With Billingsley participating in so many sports his parents are pleased.

“It keeps me out of trouble, and they’re glad I get involved with school,” said Jace.

His favorite sports teams are the Chicago Cubs, the Green Bay Packers, and Boise State. He likes to watch college and professional football because they are both fun and exciting to watch.

“I just grew up liking the Cubs and the Packers and my dad wrestled at Boise State so that’s a standard answer,” said Billingsley.

Billingsley would like to get a scholarship to play a sport in college.

“I don’t know what sport but I just hope I get a scholarship to go play some more in college,” he said.
