Censorship

Schools allow access to the Internet for the ability to have an almost infinite amount of information to access for research and knowledge. Yet the censorship of websites has grown to an astounding amount. Websites that can be considered social networking, have to go. Of course don’t forget blogs, because people’s personal opinions can have inappropriate information, so it’s better to just get rid of all of them. News columns that argue controversial ideals, which could lead to some horrible rebellious thoughts by people, so let’s get rid of that. So what’s left? We can use the dictionary, encyclopedia, news sites that aren’t controversial, and a few and select other sites that happen to not be classified into any of the “undesirable” categories.

Students basically have access to information that they can get out of books, actually many books are much more controversial than most of the information that we have access to over the Internet. So why don’t we just get rid of those too? Why not shelter all of the student body as much as possible from the horrors of the real world, because they will be stuck in high school for the rest of their lives.
