Hacker. Grifter. Hitter. Thief. Mastermind. Those are all the components that make up the perfect con team. Those five jobs are the basis of the television show “Leverage”, a modern Robin Hood. In each episode, the team of thieves helps a person in need, and by the end of every episode, they usually have completed their goal. That may sound repetitive, but what makes the television show excellent is the innovative and usually amusing way that each of the cons are accomplished.
Alec Hardison (Aldis Hodge), the hacker, helps make sure that the team can get through any building and steals information off of computers; he also has a love of orange soda and World of Warcraft though he is more than the stereotypical nerd. Sophie Devereaux(Gina Bellman), the grifter, can successfully pretend to be anyone as long as it is for the con, she has many past lives come back to haunt her throughout the seasons, toward the end of the third season she tells everyone her real name except the mastermind Nathan Ford however the view doesn’t ever actually learn her name. Eliot Spencer (Christian Kane), the hitter, his job is relatively simple he hits people, he is a sort of bodyguard of the rest of the team, in one of the jobs the Butcher of Kiev comes back while they are trying to steal money from the Mob and tries to kill him. Parker (Beth Riesgraf), the thief, not much is known about Parker like her first name but one thing is sure she can steal almost anything, throughout the three seasons her list of things she has stolen include many priceless items including the Hope Diamond.
