My personal thought is that the Friday right after Thanksgiving, you are allowed to turn on the Christmas music. This year though, I cracked, since Thanksgiving is so late this year. As of Monday, November 25, there has been one month until Christmas.
When I announced in every class on Monday “30 days until Christmas,” the majority of the class said back, “We haven’t even passed Thanksgiving.” I agree that the Christmas spirit shouldn’t come out until after the Thanksgiving feast, but 30 days. That is nothing. Can you even order a gift, receive it, and wrap it in 30 days? Well, I guess you can but, nonetheless, there is nothing wrong with being in the giving Christmas spirit a few days before Christmas.
