Mr. Grant Beatty chose Clementine Garreau as the Social Studies Student of the Week.
“Clem has been very open to our Current Events class and has explained her past experiences,” said Beatty.
Garreau, who comes from France, enjoys learning about the diversity in America during Beatty’s class.
“I like Mr. Beatty’s class because I’m learning about the diverse American culture and its issues,” said Garreau.
Beatty is interested in Garreau’s past because it teaches the rest of the class and himself how the rest of the world is so much different from the US.
“I was able to meet cowboys and see landscapes that I’m not used to seeing in France and I also had the chance to eat an American Hamburger,” said Garreau.
According to Garreau, Current Events was the perfect class for her because it makes learning about America so much easier.
