In a story that is taking the community by storm, local husband, Greg Scott, actually met all of his wife’s, Lisa Scott’s, expectations on Valentine’s Day, leaving her with nothing to gripe about.
“I don’t know what it was, but this year felt very special. He did such a good job preparing our date that we missed out on our annual fight in the car on the way home,” said Lisa Scott.
Of course, this occurrence gained widespread attention because male spouses have been trying for years to celebrate Valentine’s Day with their female counterparts during which they didn’t engage in arguing ultimately led to an even bigger maelstrom of arguments over other shortcomings in the marriage that the couple had chosen to ignore until then.
“I guess I’ll just have to save my list of improvements to be made for our anniversary later this year unless maybe our anniversary goes as well as Valentine’s Day did,” said Lisa Scott.
Greg Scott was unable to say what he did differently this year to appease his wife.
“Honestly, this year wasn’t very different than previous years, so I’m not sure,” said Greg Scott.
Lisa Scott, however, was able to reveal the secret to a more successful Valentine’s Day, and maybe even a more successful marriage.
“I think it had less to do with what he actually did and more to do with the fact that I finally lowered my standards,” said Lisa Scott.
