As you all well know March Madness is just around the corner.
Many programs and organizations sponsor bracket challenges each year, looking for that perfect bracket.
This year Lowry High is sponsoring its own bracket challenge, Take the Buck®.
“We thought this would be a fun thing to do for the kids. Frankly, the chances of someone filling out a bracket 100% correctly are so low, I’m not too worried about rewarding the money,” said Vice Principal Tim Connors.
The prize for that perfect bracket is $15,000, which will be generously donated by the Century Club.
The Century Club has agreed to give out a consolation prize of $5,000 to the teacher or student whose bracket is closest to perfect.
Official bracket sheets will be available on the first of March and need to be turned in no later than March 16 completely filled out, in the main office.
“I’m excited to participate. My bracket came really close last year, so I have my fingers crossed I’ll do even better this year,” said Jackson Brown. “Even if I don’t fill out the bracket 100%, it would still be cool to get the $5,000.”
