FFA is an organization that helps young people develop skills in their life, leadership, and careers. FFA recently traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana to compete at their national convention. They might also be recognized as the host of pig wrestling.

“It was an experience of a lifetime, definitely something everybody should go through. The town was taken over by blue corduroy jackets and I loved it,” said FFA president, Ashley Buckingham.

FFA had nine students travel on this trip, the cost for each student was 1,500, which adds up to be well over 10,000 in all. This money all comes from fundraising that each of these students would raise, which took a lot of their time and dedication. Our FFA’s Environmental Science and Natural Resources team received the silver at nationals. It consisted of Quinn Norcutt, Robyn Shafer, Jessica Rackley, and Dusty Theide, with alternates Ryan Nelson and Jessica Partee.

FFA has frequent meetings where they are enabling themselves to be better at competing and get up-to-date in all the current events they have going on, these students hope they can receive one of the many scholarships FFA offers.
