The freshman football team ended their season with 2-4. Alejandro Gracia enjoyed his season with his teammates and coaches and had fun regardless of the game’s outcome.

“The game I enjoyed most was our last game,” said Garcia. “Nobody was worried about winning or losing, just having a good time.”

There were some ups and downs this season for the boys but they still strived to work as a team, pushing through and resolving issues to continue working together.

“Getting in trouble for other people’s mistakes but we work as a team so it was fun,” said Jordan Rubio.

The freshman football team unfortunately had a lot of bye weeks which can typically be difficult to push through. Coach Scott Santos was particularly impressed with this team’s will to keep their spirit up.

“It’s difficult to keep the energy high on a team when that happens, but the kids didn’t really seem to show that effect they went right through,” said Coach Santos.

Although the team certainly saw its losses, that never drained the high energy of the team and the players continued to strive towards excellence.

“Even though we ended the season 2-4 with that dominant win, these players are excited for next season,” said Coach Santos.
