As the 2024 basketball season approaches, the JV Lady Bucks  Basketball team is gearing up for an exciting journey. With a mix of returning players and new faces, the team is poised to build on their skills and develop a winning mindset under the guidance of their new coach, Hailey Hinkle.

Coach Hinkle, a Lowry graduate who is entering her first season with the JV team, is eager to get started.

“I’m really excited about the season ahead, especially as a new coach,” she said. “My main goal is to help this team grow not only in skill but also in confidence and teamwork. We’re a new group, and I’m learning alongside them, which has been an incredible experience. I expect us to make huge strides throughout the season, both on the court and in life.”

For the players, this season is an opportunity for growth, both individually and as a team. Hailee Gibson, one of the standout players, is excited about the bonds the team is forming.

“I’m looking forward to growing closer as a team,” Gibson said. “There are teammates this year that I didn’t have last year. I want to improve as the season continues.”

With a roster that features a blend of seasoned players and newcomers, the team is focused on building strong relationships and trust on and off the court.

Ava Swenson, another key player, is optimistic for the season.

“I believe that this season will be a good one,” she said. “At practice, everyone works hard and does their best. We are constantly learning new things and trying to improve as players and teammates. Now we just have to show our work out on the court.”

The team will resume their schedule after Christmas with a tournament in Reno.

Roster: Natalia Cassinelli, Tessa Jenkins, Raegan Terry, Josie Jenkins, Elizabeth Hewitt, Ava Swensen, Elyza Sirotek, Mariah Ramos, Yizel Martinez, Hailee Gibson, Irene Campillo, Maribell Flores, and Natalia Escobar.
