The freshman girl’s basketball team had a great season with a 13-1 record.

They have all improved immensely and the girls were very grateful about getting to know each other. Many friendships were made and they are very excited to see what the next season brings.

Though the team made friends along the way, no team is perfect. The girls all had some things to improve on.

“For next season I think one thing that needs to be worked on is confidence because most girls didn’t have the confidence to take the shot when they had it,” said Liliana Garcia.

Even though there were things to improve on throughout the season the girls are excited to work more together next season.

“I think our teamwork has gotten a lot better, that improved through the season. We learned to work together. At the beginning of the season, we didn’t work so great together, but in the end, we all clicked together really well,” said Heather Hall.

The girls became more than just a basketball team. The highlights of the season for some of the girls were off the court.

“The highlight of the season would probably be getting to spend so much time with a great bunch of girls, I made a lot of new friends through basketball,” added Hall.

They also got the opportunity to know each other as individuals and that was a very special experience.

“My favorite part about getting to know the girls was the team builders because everyone was just themselves. It was a big part of us really getting to know each other,” said Garcia.

Considering the team had such a great season and worked well together there are many things that the girls are excited about for next season.

“For next season I’m really excited to come back together as a team and really get to work together again,” said Garcia.
