The JV basketball team did outstanding this year as they blew away most of their competition. Although they did not have the perfect season they were expecting, good things still happened on the court. Their biggest competition was Elko as they fell to them in their second match-up.

“(The season) went very well. Next season we are going to try to go undefeated I hope and just work harder at the little things. We had a couple of rough spots in our season but overall, we worked really well together as a team and we had a lot of amazing plays this season,” said freshman Rebecca Kuskie.

Teammates agreed that overall the season was a learning experience and there are still some things that need to be worked on before next season.

“I think the season went well, we won a lot of games and a lot of good things happened on the court. I am planning to get a lot better over the summer. Maybe work on our shots and our layups.” said Emily Cook.

“Every single person on the team contributes in their own way and that’s why I think we have been so successful,” said Amy Jenkins

Throughout the duration of the season, the girls have learned the importance of teamwork and are looking forward to the next season.

The team included Sam Diaz, Rebecca Kuskie, Tailor West, Hailey Hinkle, Kyllie Sappington, Sydney Connors, Emily Cook, Kepa Bengochea, Shelby Garrison, Alily Kliewer, Madison McClellan, and Bailey Sapien.
